A Crazy Dream Theory... o_O

Anyone else remember their dreams? I seem to remember mine every night. But I believe it's called lucid dreaming when you can take control of them, remember it's a dream at the time.... _{and turn into a certain pony princess and fly around singing children of the night} ...ya know... BUT I'M THA PRINCESS OF THA NIGHT- eh-hem. Anyways.

The other night, in the this dream I had I was in a shop down stuck in a crowd of people. At that point, I remembered it was a dream and so I for some reason decided to take note of background details. I then looked at a random person and it was an average little boy - dark wavy hair and blue eyes - his face was really vivid. Then I passed a few other people but then suddenly I noticed that I passed that same boy again.... and again. Until I realised there was more than one in the crowd. So I came to the conclusion that my mind wasn't able to come up with a crowd of as many random people as there actually was and so it duplicated that one particular person to make it look like a crowd of different people. After that I went out the shop and was flying over this lake/park area singing a song from a musical- but when I woke up, I found this theory interesting. Could that theory even be real?

The following evening I told my family and this is what they thought on it:

My mum said: it's from where you watch too many cartoons and they have duplicates of bg characters.

My brother said: probably your mind just purposely thinking that in the dream. Like a story it's already all written out in your head, especially if you're the one controlling the dream so that theory you have was only thought out because you were dreaming it at the time. (something complicated along those lines)

My sister I think laughed and possibly agreed with the others? But she's a little more open minded on dreams.


I just mostly feel confused because I have had a very similar dream before... Anyone else got opinions on this? XD
